When GRC records suddenly ceased, they left some marvellous, finished material in the vaults. None more so than the tracks recorded by the esteemed John Edwards on material written by the likes of Sam Dees, Frederick Knight and Phillip Mitchell. âTimeâ would have been a highlight of Edwardsâ planned second Aware LP and has been acclaimed since its Kent CD release in 1996. Written by Dees and Knight it is intelligent, urgent soul, now appearing as a 7â single for the first time. We already issued âHow Can I Go On Without Youâ as such, but the constant demand for this original of Corey Blakeâs Capitol 45, meant we are repeating it for recent converts. The first pressing now sells for more than ÂŁ200.
