Orbital (The Green Album)

More Info

1991's Orbital, commonly referred to as the Green Album, is a record clearly influenced by the innovations of Detroit techno and British synth pop, with tough, post-industrial beats akin to the bleep techno scene that was emerging at the time, but with melodies that could lure in pop radio listeners.

"Orbital’s exploratory debut album re-wrote the rule book for rave" - DJ Mag

Originally released on September 30, 1991, Orbital’s eponymous debut album became known as ā€œThe Green Albumā€ to distinguish it from their second album (known as ā€œThe Brown Albumā€)

The Green Album includes the seminal ā€˜Belfast’ and a live version of ā€˜Chime’, the landmark dance track that launched their career in 1990.

Last available on vinyl in 2015 - long sold out.

The album will also be remastered by the band themselves and represented in multiple formats, to be released alongside the band’s ā€˜Green and Brown Album’ UK tour that starts on 24th April.
