RECORD STORE DAY 2023 RELEASE - SATURDAY 22/04/2023
7â (Picture Disc) - Limited to 4000 Copies
More Info
OOH DO U FINK U Râ is a gloriously sunny, optimistic and defiant Motown and â60âs R&B influenced stomper drawing on Suggs and Wellerâs upbringing in Britainâs 1970âs comprehensive school system in London and Woking respectively. This picture disc is a Record Store Day 2023 exclusive, following from the sold out limited 7â release from June â22. Having known each other on-and-off over the last four decades, the seeds of this collaboration emerged in 2019 when Weller joined Suggs on his Radio Four series âLove Letters To Londonâ to talk about an ever changing Soho. As the world subsequently went into lockdown in 2020, the pair started chatting more and more frequently about music, clothes and football, eventually exchanging half finished songs, demos and sketches of lyrics. With its working class aesthetic, Motown influenced stomp, and uplifting brass, itâs an intuitive collaboration that sits neatly as a welcome addition to both menâs great songbooks.
This Record Store Day item will be available to purchase in store on Saturday 22nd April from 8am and will be available online on Monday 24th April from 8pm. Strictly one per customer / no pre-orders.
