Boo! The Early Recordings 1971-73
More Info
Singer songwriter Juliet Lawsonâs album, âBooâ,was released on the Sovereign label in the UK in1972. The album was the confident debut of a young British artist and featured twelve of Lawsonâs own compositions.
In the same wave of early 1970s English singer songwriters such as Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan and Christine McVie and despite being described at the time as âBritainâs answer to Joni Mitchellâ, âBooâ was to prove her only major label release, with limited commercial success.
Over the next 50 years, the albumâs reputation has slowly grown and is today an expensive and collectible item. âBooâ is presented here in its entirety.
The first pressing of the vinyl edition of the album also comes with a bonus 7â single featuring two early demo tracks (also included on the CD format), produced by ex-Yard birds founder Paul Samwell-Smith, who also produced Carly Simon and Cat Stevens
