Anyway
More Info
âą A NEW EXPANDED 2CD EDITION OF THE CLASSIC 1970 ALBUM BY THE LEGENDARY FAMILY.
âą NEWLY REMASTERED FROM THE MASTER TAPES.
âą FEATURING AN ADDITIONAL 16 BONUS TRACKS DRAWN FROM SINGLES AND BBC RADIO SESSIONS.
âą INCLUDES AN ILLUSTRATED BOOKLET WITH A NEW ESSAY.
Featuring vocalist Roger Chapman, guitarist John âCharlieâ Whitney, drummer Rob Townsend, bassist and violinist John Weider and multi-instrumentalist John âPoliâ Palmer on vibes, keyboards and flute, âAnywayâ comprised a side of live recordings made at The Fairfield Hall in Croydon in July 1970 and a side of studio tracks recorded at Olympic Studios in the late summer. Family were always a fine live act, and the performances of songs such as âGood News Bad Newsâ, âHolding the Compassâ and âStrange Bandâ showed the band at the peak of their powers on stage. The albumâs studio tracks were equally fine, with âPart of the Loadâ, âAnywayâ and âLives and Ladiesâ being fine examples of the diversity of the bandâs music.
Released in November 1970, the album reached number seven on the UK chart and continued the Familyâs run of successful albums.
